Comprised of Mangawhai Heads, Mangawhai Village and surrounding areas, Mangawhai sits at the south west border of the Kaipara Harbour. To the North are Ruakaka and Whangarei and to the South, Matakana and Warkworth.
Rich in seafood and fertile soil, Mangawhai has a strong Maori history. Early Maori named Mangawhai for its “stream of the stingray” and stingray can frequently be seen in the estuary and harbour. Today, Mangawhai is a rapidly developing village buzzing with creativity and great food, and it is a very popular holiday spot for visitors from far and wide.
Our Mangawhai clinic has an incredibly thorough, patient-driven companion animal team that provides comprehensive care to our smaller animals, ensuring they live their best lives. The team also extends their services into the farming community with lifestyle, equine and production animal services offered by experienced vets in Mangawhai, Tomarata and through to Kaiwaka.
We also offer a wide range of pet products, lifestyle animal feed, drenches and other veterinary supplies.
