Fiona joined The Vet Centre in November 2023. She's a veterinary nurse but works part-time as a project manager, and you’ll sometimes catch her on reception or veterinary nursing.

She has been working in the veterinary industry since graduating as a veterinary nurse
in 1999. Growing up in Mangawhai, she spent all of her high school and university
holidays working at the old clinic in the village. She has worked in small animal and mixed practice, as well as exotics; more recently, she held a veterinary sales role for Royal Canin, which sparked her passion for veterinary nurse consultations, particularly in nutrition for cats and dogs.

When she's not working around our clinics, Fiona will be on the family sheep and beef farm in Kaiwaka, helping out with sheep-dog trials or being involved in surf lifesaving with the NZ surf lifesaving team, the Black Fins.
