Thomas worked at The Vet Centre as a new graduate in 2019, before heading to the Manawatu to work as a large animal veterinarian for several years. He re-joined The Vet Centre in 2023 as an owner and veterinarian and has slotted straight back in with the farming clients in the area. His wife Chloe is also part of The Vet Centre veterinary team.
