I joined the Vet Centre in May 2015 after a one-year small animal rotating internship at Massey University. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our clients and their fur babies in the last four years as the full-time small animal vet in Waipu, and I look forward to getting to know even more of you as I continue part time. I enjoy many aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, but I have a keen interest in ophthalmology, and challenging medical cases.

I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia so I thought it was quite special when I was offered a job in Waipu. I thoroughly enjoy living in a little slice of Nova Scotia, it really feels like a home away from home, with much better weather! Being half kiwi, it felt natural to pursue my dream of becoming a vet here, so my husband and I moved to Palmerston North in 2009.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside with my husband Björn, and our five furry babies. I also love reading, baking, painting, and doing anything out in the garden.
